2005
The conditions for basic operation of safe house and crisis accommodation premises were ensured (payment of rent, electricity, heating etc.) which was not enough for basic care of victims. Due to unpaid financial part of Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs, Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Justice, the Society Ključ didn't have enough resources for care of THB victims (food, toiletries and other necessities, return to countries of origin etc). For that reason from April on the Society Ključ has been forced to refuse help to 11 persons in need of such assitance. Help was rendered to Slovene nationals and foreigners who didn't need assistance mentioned above:
- 5 juveniles;
- 1 Macedonian, 1 Slovakian, 1 Dominican Republic nationals;
- 9 Slovene, 1 Ukraine, 2 Serbia and Montenegro, 1 Bosnia and Herzegovina nationals.
They needed multiple personal and phone counseling interviews, short-term psychosocial help, help with contacting their families, help with contacting authorities of countries of origin to which they eventually returned or help with contacting Slovene police. Those forms of help were rendered in The Society Ključ premises, in crisis accommodation premises, in Center for Foreigners premises and in some other occasional places.
