Re-victimization of THB victims should be prevented. After victims have gone through recovering process they should be socially integrated and enabled to lead decent human lives, and not just returned to their countries of origin. Social integration demands at least basic financial independence.
That is the viewpoint of EU as well.
In 2004, European Social Fund put out the tender for the second round of EQUAL programmes in which THB victims and their work (re)integration were defined as a special target group. The Society Ključ grasped the opportunity and started developing a (re)integration programme for THB victims. The project is partially financed by EU and partially by the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs.
