Prevention alone is not enough.

Victims of human trafficking also need appropriate assistance. They must be removed from threatening situations and provided with safe accommodation, psychosocial support, and at least the basic necessities of life.

They need time and space to recover. After the recovery period, it is essential to offer help with obtaining documents, legal assistance, psychotherapy if needed, learning the Slovenian language (in the case of foreign nationals), and support for (re)integration and social inclusion.
