VICTOR – Victims of Child Trafficking – Our Responsibility

Društvo Ključ – Centre for Combating Human Trafficking is a partner in the VICTOR project, which also includes the Greek NGO The Smile of the Child (the lead partner), the Nadja Centre from Bulgaria, and Save the Children Romania. The project is co-funded by the European Commission.

The aim of the project is to connect and promote cooperation among non-governmental organizations working in the field of combating human trafficking – specifically the trafficking of children. In January 2014, we conducted a professional training session for social workers who may come into contact with potential or actual victims of human trafficking – children – during the course of their work. The training was attended by 50 professionals employed in social work centres, the centre for foreigners, the asylum home, and various NGOs.

As part of the project, from May to December 2014, we are placing special emphasis on INFORMATION AND AWARENESS-RAISING, aiming to educate both the general public and professionals about the issue of human trafficking – of women, men, and children. For any information, we are available Monday to Friday via our toll-free helpline 080 17 22 (from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.), by email at info@drustvo-kljuc.si, or through the Društvo Ključ Facebook page.
