Vijolica

The Vijolica program has been implemented since 2002. It is intended for students in the final grades of primary schools, their parents and school staff. It is carried out as a workshop lasting 45 minutes and containing a systematic explanation of the following concepts: human trafficking, victim of trafficking, deception, sexual and emotional abuse, forced prostitution.

During a workshop, we play a 5-minute film. The design of a workshop requires active partcipation of participants.

Also, at the end of the workshop, there is time for summarizing. The workshops are conducted by employees and volunteers of the Society Ključ. Our experience shows that it makes sense to hold workshops for all three target groups (boys and girls, school employees and their parents), because in this  way they can can react appropriately in the event of a possible human trafficking situation. The school can also decide to combine workshops for school employees and parents into one.

In 2020, the project is co-funded by the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Communication, the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Nationalities and the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports as part of activities aimed at raising awareness of vulnerable groups about human trafficking. Ppreventive workshops and other preventive activities for children in the last triad of elementary schools in Slovenia, especially in regions with a large number of members of Roma community will be held forf ree. Workshops and other activities are held in Ljubljana, Maribor, Trebnje, Črnomlje, Lendava, Kočevje, Krško, Litija, Vače, Veliki Lašče, Pivka, Slovenske Konjice, Rodica, Dragomlje, Ihan, Homec, Domžale and Dobrepolje.
