Make It Work
Make it Work – Combating Human Trafficking and Labour Exploitation
In 2011–2012, Društvo Ključ collaborated with the Belgrade-based NGO ASTRA on the project Make it Work – Fighting Trafficking and Exploitation of Workers, co-funded by the European Commission. As project partners, we prepared a brochure aimed at raising awareness among workers about the potential dangers of blindly trusting promises of well-paid jobs in Slovenia. The brochure features two true stories of construction workers who were victims of exploitation in Slovenia (with names and some details changed to protect anonymity), alongside warnings and advice on what workers should pay attention to.
Labour exploitation involves several elements of human trafficking, and we believe it must be taken very seriously—not merely as a labour law violation.

EQUAL Open Europe
As part of our (re)integration programme, we formed a transnational partnership with development partners in Italy and Spain. The core idea was to share knowledge among partners and co-develop new tools for working with vulnerable groups. Together, we explored the challenges of (re)integrating victims of human trafficking, migrants, and victims of violence and discrimination.
