RAP TRACK COMPETITION

Rap artists aged 15 to 29, Prava zveza invites you to take part!

We are looking for your unpublished original rap tracks on the theme of non-violence. The words we want to hear are respect, freedom, tolerance, consent, kindness, humanity, acceptance and friendship. You can read more about the work of the individual organisations in our network on their websites: Društvo Ključ, Društvo za nenasilno komunikacijo, SOS Helpline, Legebitra, TOM Telefon, Mladi zmaji and Iz Principa.

Entries will be judged on: content, message, originality, quality of the lyrics and quality of the music. Entries that promote any form of violence, or that do not include all the required attachments, will not be considered.

The winning track will be chosen by a three-member jury: a female musician, a male musician and a representative of Prava zveza.

REGISTRATION:

A complete entry includes the following separate attachments:

– a recording of the track in mp3 320 format,

– the lyrics in Slovenian,

– a FULLY completed, signed and scanned declaration, which you will find at HERE,

– consent from your legal guardians to take part in the competition, if you are under 18. You can find it HERE.

Entrants (a track may have several authors) should send their work, the declaration and, if under 18, their guardians' consent to: pravazveza.rapnatecaj@gmail.com up to and including 15 May 2019.

PRIZE:

– recording the track mentored by an established Slovenian rapper,

– filming a music video,

– promotion across the social media of Prava zveza and its member organisations,

– at least one live performance.

RESULTS ANNOUNCED: no later than 3. 6. 2019.

The competition is part of the Prava zveza project, co-funded by the City of Ljubljana and FIHO.
